Cultural Visit

Do you want to get to know Nambikkai - House of Hope, if so you can visit South India for two weeks. Every year we offer cultural visits giving you the chance to meet people in need, work at the farm, get to know the workers and to be part of the adventure. Ways to support us:

Sewing Machine

Buy a Sewing Machine to enable jobless and oppressed women to learn tailoring skills. Give women the opportunity to find a job or start their own business which means that their self-esteem and confidence are boosted. It also means that their families are eating well and they hopefully have enough money left over to send their children to school. Amount 200 CHF

Second hand Computer

Buy an old computer to enable underprivileged students to learn basic skills and to have access to different medias for their studies. This can result in the students becoming more resilient and capable of making their own decisions and in control of their future. Amount 350 CHF

Support a Project Worker

Sponsor a Nambikkai Project Worker to bring hope to the local community. A local worker can encourage and guide families living in extreme poverty to develop skills and confidence that will enable them to earn a living and support their family emotionally and financially. Amount 100 CHF per month

Support a child’s education

Every child has the right to a safe and secure education. However, many girls are forced to leave schools at a young age, while many others never attend school at all. School is a place where girls can have their voices heard and have an opportunity to show their leadership skills. Schools provide girls with the skills that they need to be in control of their homes, careers, communities and can transform their lives and their futures. Every child deserves to learn these skills to succeed. We are seeking CHILD SPONSORS to pay for a child’s education. We will send you a photograph of your sponsored child and updates about your child. You will know that your child is getting a meal at school and a quality education in a safe and secure environment. We support children in city slum areas and areas where your help and support is most needed.

Food Distribution

For the last few years we have delivered food to elderly people who for whatever reason find themselves without a family to support them. We need your support to continue doing this. Thank you.

Emergency Fund

We would like to have a fund for emergency situations, eg. unexpected medical expenses, or to financially support families who lose their home and/or place of work. There are many disadvantaged families who need a little extra short term support while they recover from unexpected changes in their lives or health. This fund would mean that we could help them immediately, just when they need it most. Thank you.
